How to Write a Resume With No Experience
Build a credible first resume with education, projects, internships, volunteering, and skills when you have no formal work history.

A first resume does not need years of employment to show potential. It needs clear evidence that you can learn, contribute, and complete useful work.
Start with a targeted summary
Name the role or internship you want and connect it to your strongest evidence. Keep the summary specific instead of saying only that you are hardworking.
Lead with projects and proof
Include coursework, class projects, personal projects, internships, volunteering, campus leadership, freelance work, or community activities. Explain what you did, which tools you used, and what changed because of your work.
Make skills believable
List technical and practical skills that you can demonstrate. Add a link to a portfolio or project when it is relevant. Keep the layout simple, use standard headings, and tailor the order of sections to the job description.
