Should My Resume Include My Full Home Address?
Learn what contact information to include on a resume and when a city, region, or work-authorization detail is enough.
Published November 2, 2026
For most modern job applications, a full street address is not necessary. A city and region, or simply the location relevant to the job, is usually enough.
Include useful contact details
Use your name, professional email, phone number, location at the level the employer needs, and a relevant LinkedIn or portfolio link. State work authorization or willingness to relocate only when it helps the application.
Protect your privacy
Avoid adding personal information that the employer did not request, such as a national ID number, family details, or an address that creates a safety concern. Follow official instructions when a form requires a specific address.
